DC/AC Current Clamp — Model CA600

Zero adjustment for accurate readings
Hall-Effect Sensor for sensitivity
Output voltage 1 mV/Amp

CA600 test leads connect to any standard DMM with input impedance of at least 10 MegOhm. Connect leads to the VOLT/OHM and COM jacks.

CA600 converts amps to mVs which are read with any DMM set to the 2-3-4 Volt range (when readout says .000).
LED lights up when the 9V battery is weak. Zero adjustment knob to compensate for the hysteresis effect in DC measurements

Operation:
(1) Connect CA600 to DMM test jacks as if measuring voltage.
(2) Set DMM to 2-3-4 DC Volts range (.000)
(3) Turn ON the CA600 and Zero adjust CA600 to read all zeros on DMM.
(4) Then simply open jaws to surround a single wire when current is flowing.

Easy to interpret DMM reading:
A reading of .001 = 1 Amp;
A reading 0f .030 = 30 Amps;
A reading of .600 = 600 Amps, etc.

CA60 can measure DC current as low as 1.0 mA
Select between two ranges:
1mV/10mA for current below 2.0 Amps.
1mV/100mA for current between 2.0-60 Amps

CA60 test leads connect to any standard DMM with input impedance of 10 MegOhm.
Connect CA60 test leads to the DMM's VOLT/OHM and COM jacks.
Set DMM to the 2-3 or 4V range where the DMM readout indicates .000 before a measurement.
